AGARTALA – Former Tripura Chief Minister and current BJP MP Biplab Kumar Deb has issued a stern warning regarding the escalating instability in neighboring Bangladesh. Speaking on December 25, Deb asserted that the rising influence of fundamentalist groups is not only pushing the country toward chaos but is now endangering its very existence.

“No One Will Be Spared”

The MP’s remarks come amidst a wave of reported violence against minority communities across the border. Deb emphasized that accountability is inevitable for those targeting Hindu minorities.

  • Deteriorating Law and Order: Deb noted a significant decline in security, particularly following the death of Usman Bin Hadi.
  • Targeted Violence: He alleged widespread incidents of arson against Hindu homes and reports of brutal killings emerging from various regions.
  • Economic Impact: Beyond social harmony, the MP claimed that extremist actions are crippling Bangladesh’s economy, which he described as “worsening with each passing day”.

A Warning on Survival

Deb dismissed the notion that targeting minorities could safeguard any group’s future. “Attacking minorities will not save anyone’s existence,” he stated, adding that those responsible for such atrocities should not expect any reprieve or leniency. He concluded that extremist ideologies have eroded basic human values, ultimately jeopardizing the collective future of the nation.
